Chutney : Dry Fruit Chutney And Raw Mango Chutney



Dry Fruit Chutney

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 gms raisins
  • 7 - 8 dates, chopped
  • 7 - 8 apricots, seeded and chopped
  • 50 gms jaggery
  • 1 tsp onion seeds
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp rock salt


METHOD

  1. Mix raisins, dates and apricots with onion seeds and salt and keep aside.
  2. Make a thick syrup of jaggery and vinegar over a low flame and add to above mixture.
  3. Boil for 5 minutes. Cool.

Raw Mango Chutney

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 gms raw mango
  • 50 gms jaggery
  • 7 - 8 pods garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds, coarsely ground
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste


METHOD

  1. Wash and dry mango thoroughly. Cut into small pieces.
  2. Combine all ingredients and grind in a mixer.
